Contemporary Street Art / Graffiti-Inspired Digital Mixed Media.

Through expressive graffiti, symbolic imagery and playful teddy-bear characters, Same Roots, Next Gen contrasts the harshness of separation with the innocence, creativity and hope of childhood.

The fractured wall reveals a glimpse of the Dome of the Rock, standing within the sacred Al-Aqsa compound in Jerusalem — a symbol of faith, belonging and an enduring connection to their homeland.

For generations of Palestinians, visiting Masjid Al-Aqsa has been more than a journey; it is a deeply cherished dream. Yet, for many, restrictions on movement and access have meant growing up longing to pray within its sacred grounds, to walk where their ancestors once walked and to experience a place so deeply woven into their identity, but kept beyond their reach.

Each teddy bear represents a different expression of perseverance, solidarity and the desire for freedom. Some climb, some create, and others dream of soaring beyond the barriers that separate them from their heritage.

Through the innocence of childhood, the artwork reflects a powerful longing — the hope that one day, the next generation will not have to admire Al-Aqsa through a broken wall, but will be free to stand before it, pray within its sacred grounds and experience the beauty of a place they have carried in their hearts for generations.
